ATTENDANCE & TIME TRACKING

Attendance software for remote and hybrid teams — free

Clock in from a laptop or a phone, wherever your people work. Remotly keeps a daily record for every employee, tracks breaks, and turns the month into a report you can export — without a fingerprint device on a wall.

Clock in from anywhere

One button on the dashboard. No terminal to install, no hardware to buy, nothing to maintain.

Breaks, counted properly

Lunch, rest, prayer and restroom are separate break kinds, so a prayer break is not read as an absence.

📊

Reports you can hand over

Daily and monthly views per employee, per department or per branch, exportable when payroll asks.

🌍

Every branch on its own clock

Each branch carries its own timezone, working days and holiday calendar. Riyadh and Cairo in one company.

What attendance actually has to solve

A fingerprint reader answers one question — did this person touch the sensor — and it only works if they came to a building. The moment part of your team works from home, from a client site, or from another city, that reader stops describing your company. The spreadsheet that replaces it is worse: it is filled in from memory at the end of the month, by the person least able to remember.

Remotly records the day as it happens. An employee clocks in when they start, marks a break when they take one, and clocks out when they finish. Their manager sees it live, HR sees the month, and nobody reconstructs anything afterwards.

  • A daily record per employee: first clock-in, breaks with their kinds, last clock-out, and hours worked.
  • Live status for the whole company — who is working, who is on a break, who has not started, who is on leave.
  • Location captured at clock-in when a company turns it on, stored as a record rather than used as a gate.
  • Monthly report per employee, department or branch, exportable for payroll.

Built for a working week that is not Monday to Friday

Most attendance software is written for a Monday-to-Friday week and a nine-to-five day, then translated. Remotly asks for your country when you create a branch and suggests the working days for it — Friday and Saturday as the weekend in Saudi Arabia, for example — and you change it if your company runs a different schedule. Prayer is a break kind, not an unexplained gap in the log.

The interface is Arabic with native right-to-left layout, written that way from the start rather than mirrored afterwards. Your employees read it in their own language, and so do the reports.

What it does not do

Remotly does not assert statutory figures. It will not tell you a legal leave entitlement, an end-of-service amount or an overtime multiplier, because those belong to your labour law and your own internal regulations, and a number invented by a software vendor is worse than no number. What it does is track attendance and leave against the policy your company configures — and keep the record that any of those calculations would need.

Common questions

Is the attendance system really free?

Yes. Attendance, leave, employee records, projects and tasks are on the free plan, with no time limit and no credit card. Paid plans exist for larger teams that want the advanced modules, but a company can run its attendance on Remotly indefinitely without paying.

Do we need a fingerprint device?

No. Employees clock in from the web app on a laptop or phone. There is nothing to install and no hardware to buy, which is what makes it work for people who are not in a building.

Can we see where an employee clocked in from?

A company can turn on location capture, and the coordinates are then stored with the clock-in as part of the record. It is a record, not a gate: Remotly does not block anyone from clocking in based on where they are.

How long does it take to set up?

About two minutes. Create the company, pick the country and working hours, add your departments, then invite your team by email. People can clock in the same day.

Does it work for a team spread across countries?

Yes. Each branch has its own timezone, working days and holiday calendar, so a Riyadh team and a Cairo team live in the same company without either one being measured against the wrong clock.
